The Samui Centre of Learning was a resounding success and raised over 70,000 THB. Half of what was raised has been donated to Rino’s Heart. For those of you who don’t know, Rino Mangon Vogt (from our Y5 class) has been diagnosed with Epstein’s Anomaly and we are doing everything possible to help his family to raise money for his life-saving operation.
The other half of what was raised has gone back into the Centre and will be used to kit out out P.E. department with new gear for the upcoming term as well as new teaching resources that will allow us to make learning more interactive and enjoyable for our children.
The day was a resounding success and everyone seemed to have a blast but don’t take my word for it; take a look at the picture gallery (and see Teacher Richard taking a wet sponge to the face)!
